You will need:

  • gelatin1 1/2 tsp gelatin
  • cold water2 tbsp cold water
  • heavy cream2 cups heavy cream
  • sugar1/4 cup sugar
  • matcha powder1-2 tbsp matcha powder
  • vanilla extract1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. First, start by sprinkling 1 1/2 tsp of gelatin over 2 tbsp of cold water. Let it sit for a few minutes to allow the gelatin to bloom.
  2. Next, in a medium saucepan, combine 2 cups of heavy cream and 1/4 cup of sugar. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar completely dissolves.
  3. Once the sugar is dissolved, remove the saucepan from the heat. Add the bloomed gelatin, 1-2 tbsp of matcha powder (depending on your taste), and 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract. Stir the mixture until all the ingredients are fully incorporated and the matcha powder is well-distributed.
  4. Finally, pour the matcha mixture into your chosen serving dishes. Place the dishes in the refrigerator and allow the panna cotta to set for at least 4 hours, or until it achieves a firm, jelly-like consistency.

Notes

The amount of matcha powder can be adjusted according to taste. For a more intense matcha flavor, use 2 tbsp. For a milder flavor, use 1 tbsp.
